Hello friends,
I would like to invite you for the Debian Utsav in SICSR. Debian is one of the more known GNU/Linux distributions. It is the foundation on which popular distributions such as 'Ubuntu' and other debian-derivatives are made. It is also known as "The father of Ubuntu!"
Debian Utsav is celebration of Debian Folks - seeking to enhance awareness about Debian in the FOSS ecosystem as well as network with like-minded individuals.
Its a series of events to create awareness about Debian and packaging with the first one held at the end of January 2012 in Magarpatta City. The idea/intention is to take it to every college/institution and make people aware for better smarter and ethical computing.

a. Ice-breaking activity - FOSS quiz - Shravan Aras
b. Debian history-shirish
c. What goes on in making Debian (infrastructure) - Shirish Agarwal and Muneeb.
d. Introduction to packaging :- (Muneeb Shaikh and Abdul Karim)
e. Lunch break - 1 hour.
e. The actual Packaging session -handson -(Muneeb Shaikh and AbdulKarim)
There is just a rough roadmap for the day, the timings are not written as we want to have flexibility on when to end. It depends on people's participation.
